Magic Pony is very excited to announce that we are now carrying the new David Choe Munko Plush in our store. David Choe is a Los Angeles based, Korean-American artist. A modern Renaissance Man, he is known as many things including painter, illustrator, muralist, traveler, performer, and what is maybe the most hot topic: troublemaker.
The Munko whale is one of David Choe’s signature characters, originally appearing in graffiti on pavement, concrete walls, overpasses, and freeways all over Los Angeles in the early 2000’s. Since then, Munko has become so popular and loved that it has been made into limited edition toy multiples in collaboration with Upper Playground. As a followup to the popular Munko minifigure line, Choe and Upper Playground have released a super adorable 10″ long plush toy.
Munko has always offered interesting comments about its environment and provided good food for thought to all passerbys. We are thrilled to be carrying this huggable Munko rendition at Magic Pony. If you love Choe and Munko and have never been able to express it, here’s your chance to to hug it out! We <3 you Munko!
