Erica Weiner‘s designs always have a raw and adventurous quality to them. However, my favourite piece of her collection goes well beyond these qualities. Erica Weiner’s snake bone vertebrae necklace has been my favourite jewellery piece for a long time now. These are real snake vertebrae, folks. They interlock and move together in a haunting, organic way. Wearing these bones around your neck feels absolutely awesome, and is edgy enough without going into the realm of morbidity. Thankfully, these bones are recycled; the snakes were not killed for jewellery. I still can’t get over the fact that they are real bone, and I always tell my friends about it when they are shopping for jewellery. This necklace is the showpiece of any outfit, so sticking to basics is ideal. I particularly love this necklace paired with a pair of ankle boots.
