JUNKO MIZUNO

VENUS CAKE Solo Exhibition

As the first body of work in her Food Obsession series, Mizuno takes us through a personal, psychedelic journey through delightfully dark food fetishes from an ornate whipped cream Ouroboros to fish carved sushi schoolgirls and a sadistically delicious pancake kitchen.

With a decorative graphic sensibility that evokes both American and Japanese pop culture, Mizuno combines cuteness, gore and eroticism within an oeuvre that includes comics, painting, drawings, animation and toys.

We are pleased to present The Merlin Years, the second monograph from iconic art collective Team Macho. Celebrating one of Canada's most unique emerging art groups, this richly illustrated book surveys work between 2007 and 2012 from shows in Toronto, Montreal, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and New York.

The Merlin Years includes essays and candid interviews on their group practice, artistic brotherhood and the Axis Mundi AGO installation. More Info

Jon Burgerman is a British artist who traverses the disciplines of urban art, design, illustration and entrepreneurism. His art is instantly recognisable, combining fluid and lyrical lines, with distorted character forms and radiant pop colour schemes. His work is widely collected and is in the permanent collections of The Victoria and Albert Museum, Nottingham Castle Museum and The Science Museum in London.

Premiering five inspiring game collaborations between nationally and internationally renowned independent comic and game creators. Each team is made up of one comic creator and one indie game developer, and the results are highly polished, multiplayer, jam-scale games, available to all visitors to play for free.
