Each animal is handmade and the designer, Tirabo, wanted to pay respect to this by embracing the natural quality of the wood from the Albizia tree. In Bali, a dedicated workshop makes the first cut, roughly forming the shape of each character in blocks of wood. The block is then laid out and is dried over time. Once the wood is dried, Tirabo then handmakes the smooth form by sanding the edges, ensuring that they are completely smoothed. Tirabo adds the final touches by painting the characters by hand.
